IMID-HEART is a specialist team based in Leeds dedicated to supporting people with rheumatological and immune-mediated inflammatory diseases (IMIDs) who may have heart involvement. We care for individuals with conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma, lupus, and myositis, particularly when there are concerns about possible cardiac complications. Our team includes leading experts, professors, and consultants who have devoted their careers to understanding the links between IMIDs and heart disease. Through a range of clinical and research studies, we aim to improve how cardiac involvement in IMIDs is detected, monitored, and managed.
